University of Pittsburgh Institutional Master Plan Meeting

Please join us for an important meeting!

The University of Pittsburgh is developing their Institutional Master Plan (IMP). This is a ten-year plan required by the city zoning ordinance that helps the public understand an institution’s plans related to future development projects, transportation/parking, building massing, urban design, and the like. Pitt is looking to hear from community members about ways the plan can contribute positively to the neighborhood.

Join Pitt this coming Monday evening, March 11, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. in the Mervis Hall first floor event space located at 3950 Roberto Clemente Drive, Pittsburgh, PA to provide your input. At a meeting last month, Pitt presented the process they will follow to complete the IMP. Monday evening’s meeting will be a discussion of the neighborhood enhancement strategy component of the IMP. The code requires the plan to include a neighborhood enhancement strategy to provide details on the role the institution plays in improving its neighborhood for permanent residents and businesses in addition to its students and staff.

This is a great opportunity for Oakland residents to make a difference. Please consider attending this public meeting to offer your input for neighborhood enhancement.

We hope to see you there. Please help us spread the word by telling your neighbors about this opportunity to speak up for your neighborhood.
